Welcome To Mind The Gap Church
We meet in Sheriff Hill Methodist Church, Kells Lane, Gateshead at 5pm on Sundays, starting with a small buffet, we see this as an integral part of our worship so that people are able to catch up with each other and build lasting friendships. Focusing on the importance of building community with food has made a big impact on the life of the church – in fact it became so much part and parcel of who we are that people have said they feel very strange not to be fed if they go to a service anywhere else!
At 5.30pm a worship leader starts the service, there is no set order as to what happens but generally there is a speaker or people sharing what has been happening for about 20minutes. At other times we'll use the NOOMA DVDs by Rob Bell to prompt discussion
Mind the Gap aims to welcome all people into church by creating an atmosphere that allows people to be who there are and help them to understand , grow in the christian faith. |
